Oh dear! Have I been doing it all wrong?
I've tried to write some informative posts, which has resulted in them being rather long.

Like you say, I'll experiment and produce a few short ones.
I've got a few ideas, which will fit nicely into a short post.

Yeah. We cannot blindly apply this. It is best to adapt it with our situation and condition.

I love to scan posts. I cannot read all of them because there are so many good posts around. With small posts, you obviously can read in less time and gain more knowledge. Excellent stuffs!

Is it fair to say that sometimes a short post is appropriate but a long post is more suitable at other times? And how many words are there in a short post? Isaac's original post must have been around 200 words and yet other people seem to think that 300 words comprise a long post. If I was looking for a review of a new laptop, for example, 500 words probably wouldn't be enough.

Short posts saves reader's time. It is a good format because in this modern era, everyone is busy.
