Do you Know the Pagerank of WordPress.org?

Posted on 14. Sep, 2009 by Isaac Yassar in WordPress

wordpressHello fellow WordPress.org fans!

Today I am not feeling too well so I think I’ll write something light for my post (this one). After all, I don’t want to bombard you my kind readers by posting heavy posts every day ;-)

Let’s get started, do you know how high is the pagerank of WordPress.org, the capital of our beloved publishing / blogging platform for own domain? 5, 6, 7, 8?

If you want to know the answer, check out this image below:

The answer is quite surprising, it has a pagerank of 9. That is superb, only 1 point below Google who has 10 points of pagerank. Google is the one who create the algorithm anyway, no doubt it has 10 points.

Of course if you don’t check it yourself, it won’t be that fun. So, here is the pagerank tool that I used to check it: SeoCentro. It loads fast, and the captcha is simple. After you fill it once, it won’t ask for captcha again. It is the kind of captcha that is only to block abuse, not to stop human users from using the tool as well (like some captchas). ;-)

You can google for other pagerank checking tools, and then you’ll know that I’m offering you the most user-friendly tool. Why user-friendly is the feature I give spotlight? Because every pagerank tool can check pagerank. ;-)

Wordpress.com actually also has high pagerank, but I don’t want to mention it here. Who’s proud of it anyway? Very limited features, you have to pay to edit stuff, you can’t monetize it. Auch!

OK I think I’ll stop here because I am already going off topic. Cheers ;-)

      @KPerrone

      These days, Google will easily give Page Rank if you have a bunch of strong backlinks(but will take it back ASAP if you sell links or use black hat!)

      You can try Guest Posting on similar blogs to get relevant links!

    Hi Dana, Rohit, Sid, Ricky and Kevin, thanks for commenting. Yeah, If not mistaken, we’ll get our pagerank after our site is 4 months old.

    There are some browser based tools that are more friendly. There’s a FireFox extension that automatically shows PR, Alexa Rank and Compete Rank or website you visit.

    Then there’s Opera Page Rank widget(which I use) which is very simple with no captchas!

    Although, when it comes to online tools, SEOCentreo is most friendly!
