Why Blogging Buddies are Good for You

Having a new blog to grow?
Every blogger had a brand new blog once, when the content and traffic are still few. It is always a difficult time for a blogger.
Those with new blogs often feel discouraged seeing big and successful blogs out there. Their traffic is great, their designs are visually stunning, and they make money real good. New blogs seem small and unworthy in front of them, like having no ability and chance to compete.
This feeling is not positive to keep because it can tackle your constructive blogging progress. It has to stop one way or another.
Having blogging buddies can help you in dealing with this negative feeling. These buddies are other bloggers who also have new blogs to grow. With them around, your brand new blog can grow in a small safe network together.
It is like a lost kid meeting other lost kids trying to find their way around a big zoo. It is much better than being lost alone. You can imagine how it feels.
After having a few blogging buddies, you can negotiate a few things to support each other mutually, such as:
1. Link exchange
You put links on your blog to your friends’ blogs. They also put your link on their blogs. This can send you traffic and the links can also serve as shortcuts to visit each other. If one blog grows well, it has a good chance to help other blog in the network by splashing some visitors.
2. Readership exchange
You read your buddies’ posts, they read yours. This gives your articles their first readers. This is very useful since search engines aren’t likely to send readers to new blogs. Having friends means you always have readers.
3. Comment exchange
You comment on your friends’ posts, and they comment on yours. Having a few active buddies will make your site much more alive with warm discussions.
4. Subscription exchange
You subscribe to your buddies’ blogs and they also subscribe to yours. This is especially useful if you show your subscriber number using FeedBurner button or similar tools.
5. Post exchange
You write a guest post for your friends, and they write ones for you. It just like guest-posting in established blogs, except this time it’s on new blogs. On the guest-post, the author’s link is provided.
6. Tweet exchange
You tweet your buddies’ posts, and they tweet yours. Doesn’t have to be Twitter, other social media is suitable. The point is you share your friends’ posts on your network, and they do the same for you. You can negotiate the period, once a week, twice a week, etc.
There also other possibilities beside those six and all of them depend on negotiation between buddies. Everything is possible here, so be creative!
However, after you have some active buddies, you can’t just rely to them to get support. You still need to actively build your blog. Invest your time and energy to build a better blog fast. Aim to grow your blog big so you can support your network, not the opposite.
By the way, my blog you are visiting is pretty new, created on July 4 2009. I’m currently looking for new blogs to grow together. If you are serious about growing your new blog, feel free to contact me using my contact page. Let’s grow together!

Yeah, having 2 or 3 active buddies is already great. They will come to our blog and leave comments and make our blog alive. We do the same for them.
I would have probably given up blogging now if not because of my blogging buddies who supports me when I was down
